Vixile – $7 256MB OpenVZ VPS Exclusive OfferFirstNetServ – £1.99 128MB OpenVZ VPS in UK

Daniel from FirstNetServ contacted me about their latest offer on WHT, where they now have a new low end package. For £1.99/month the new “Mini VPS” has

  • 128MB guaranteed/256MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 50GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/VirtPanel

Servers are with RapidSwitch in UK. Our last post about them back in 31 May they were still using SolusVM, and it seems they have migrated to VirtPanel.

Daniel also said that if you mention LEB in the order form, they will give you 50GB/month data extra. By the way — your SSL certificate has expired today! Time for renewal :)

BlazeVPS – $10/Year 128MB OpenVZ VPS

Timothy from Dinix LLC emailed me a few days ago about some new VPS packages they are about to launch — BlazeVPS. While I have received the details and am still waiting for the “okay” to post, the deals appears on WHT first. Not really “low end box exclusive” as stated in the email exchange but, well, at least the offer is now in the open. Annual payment only, starting from $10/year with the following spec

  • 128MB memory
  • 25GB storage
  • 1000GB/month data transfer on 1Gbps port
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Available locations are Chicago IL, Orlando FL, Phoenix AZ and London UK. There are other packages — $25/year for 256MB, $45/year for 512MB, etc.

Too good to be true? Without last week’s RackVM £6/year offer I would say yes. However many have their RackVM NEO VPS delivered and are pretty happy with what they’ve got. RackVM’s domain was only registered in April so not much historical record either, but so far they’ve done pretty well.

BlazeVPS.com on the other hand was registered merely 2 days ago, from a company that still does not have its own website. Can’t seem to be able to find the LLC records in Arizona or Tennessee (but I am not in US so might be using the wrong tools). Andrew from 123Systems also picked some issues on page 3 of the WHT thread — worthwhile to have read.

I guess we’ll just have to wait for more reports to come in.

YDGH – $5 512MB OpenVZ VPS

YourDomainGoesHere (YDGH) has released some pretty competitive VPS packages. For $5/month you are getting the following OpenVZ virtual server

  • 512MB memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 1,000GB/month data transfer
  • 2 IP addresses
  • OpenVZ/vePortal

Yeah, before someone yells out Yet Another BurstNET reseller, apparently their servers are with colo4dallas in Dallas TX. You are also getting 30 days money back guarantee and 24x7x365 support as claimed in its company page. Well they might have some experience under their belt if the registrant of the domain was senior sales executive of CI Host, and Corey got a few good reviews on the net.

123Systems – $37.73/Year 256MB OpenVZ VPS Exclusive Offer

Andrew from 123Systems emailed me an exclusive special with their new Fremont CA based virtual servers. Use promo code 55LEB you can get 55% off recurring discount when you prepay for a year or two years. So picking thier low end offer, you can get the following virtual server for $37.73/year:

  • 256MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 500GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Servers are in Fremont CA with HE.net which has pretty good connectivity to Asia/Australia. There are other monthly offers from 123Systems if you are not comfortable to pay for a whole year up front.

DMEHosting – $5.95 OpenVZ VPS with 256MB

Via this WHT offer. DMEHosting has been featured a couple of times and last time it was July last year. Since then not much has been changed. I am still seeing them advertising on WHT every week. Their low end package was of pretty good value last year and it is still pretty good for this year’s standard. For $5.95/month you get

  • 256MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
  • 25GB storage
  • 1000GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/HyperVM

DMEHosting does offer many location choices though, which you can pick and choose when you are in the ordering page. These are

  • Seattle WA (with spectrumnet.us)
  • Denver CO (with fdcservers.net)
  • Chicago IL (with fdcservers.net)
  • Scranton PA (with hostnoc.net)
  • Roubaix France (with OVH)

DMEHosting has been in business for quite a few years and have been offering low end packages that were featured here since at least Feb 2009 — so I presume they know what they are doing to make it a profitable business. Don’t forget the promo code 50OFFVPS to get 50% off in your first month.

TheSimpleHost – $20.10/3 Months OpenVZ VPS in Germany

Via this WHT offer. TheSimpleHost is a UK based web hosting company started by a handful of BSc Computing graduates in mid 2008, according to its “Company” page. Yes — no under aged teenagers here :) Its pacakges are also a bit dealer, as I have to prepay 3 months to get down to my selection criteria, combining with its current promo code 35VPS that gives 35% off recurring discount. So for $20.10/3 months you get

  • 128MB guaranteed/256MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 100GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ

Servers are in Frankfurt, Germany.

eNS Cloud – $5.99 256MB VMWare VPS

Via this WHT offer. eNetSouth Cloud is currently having July special of their VMWare ESX4-powered Cloud VPS. The cheapest package costs $5.99/month and comes with

  • 256MB memory
  • 30GB storage
  • 1000GB/month data transfer
  • VMWare — any operating system

Servers are in Chincago with DFT CH1. Seems to be quite cheap if you are looking at a VMWare-based solution. Unfortunately I am unable to find any review about this company.

RapidDuck – 3.99 GBP 384MB OpenVZ VPS

Daniel from RapidDuck about their latest promotional offering. For 3.99 GBP/month you can get their Limited VPS offer with

  • 384MB guaranteed/1024MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 5Mbps unmetered bandwidth
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

No word on where the servers are located. Since their website has a HostNOC address I assume they buy their servers from HostNOC/BurstNet in Scranton. A very new service (registered Jun 30 this year) although they were trading under “HostingVillage” before, which was registered last year. I do need to raise the under age alert though — we seem to get a lot of those from UK. And I’m trying very hard not to make any joke about the rubber duckling :)

All the best Daniel with your new startup.

Spacerich – $4.99 256MB OpenVZ VPS with Gbit Port

Vinyas, the founder & developer at Spacerich has notified me via email on their latest offer on WHT. A little bit pricier than their German/Chicago VPS at $4.99/month, but at Softlayer’s Washington DC data center with Gbit port and lots more data. The full spec here:

  • 256MB guaranteed/384MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 2TB/month outbound data transfer + Unmetered inbound
  • Free SSL certificate
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Another low end provider selling their cheap VPS with terabytes of monthly data transfer (while I am still struggling to push more than 20GB on this VPS hosting Low End Box). Spacerich has been around for quite a while with mixed reviews on WHT.

VPSDC – $6.95 OpenVZ VPS with 256MB

Via this WHT offer. VPSDC is a UK based company offering OpenVZ virtual servers, and their budget plan starts from $6.95/month which gives you

  • 256MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 50GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ

On the website it says the Budget plans are based in US and UK. Their website is hosted in Chicago with Sharktech Internet Services so I assume it is with them as well. Domain has been registered for 3 years and currently to “OSHS Limited“, who as far as I know, runs by Suhali who also owns HighVPS (acquired from Jason Scale), VPSWow (also acquired from Jason), ConnectSwitch and HostGD that were featured on LowEndBox.

Does that make this reputable business? Hmm I guess so. The plans themselves are probably not that great though when you compare with some recent offers.
